“Early Access” to Get Open Caption Movie Showtimes

Have you every been frustrated when you search for “open caption movies near me”?
It never feels easy to find movies with open captions playing in nearby theaters…and that is exactly why we created Open Caption Movie Club! For years, we thought the problem was US. We thought that we weren’t using the right search terms: should I search for “open captioned movies near me” or should I search for “movies with open captions near me”? No matter, where we searched online, we could never find a quick and easy way to find open caption movie showtimes near us.

After years of waiting and hoping that someone else would figure out an easy way to find open caption movie showtimes, we had a crazy thought…what if WE just try to do it ourselves?

And that has led us to this exciting announcement: we have opened up FREE “Early Access” for anyone in America to sign up for OCMovieClub.

We want to be clear about a few things:

1. Our aim with Open Caption Movie Club is to create an easy and helpful way for folks to find movies with open captions playing near them…for free.

2. We have opened up “Early Access” because we want to get feedback from other open caption movie lovers - and we are still finding and fixing any and all technical glitches.

3. After you sign up, you will then begin receiving our free weekly OCMovieClub email, which will have listings for movies with open captions playing near you. (If you find that you don’t like our emails, it’s super easy to unsubscribe with just one click or by replying to any of our weekly emails and simply asking us to unsubscribe you.)

4. We appreciate that lots of people prefer closed captions to open captions - and we absolutely respect that perspective. We just happen to love the experience that open captioning gives to us and our family when we go to the movies.

5. We LOVE movies…and we LOVE LOVE LOVE going out to watch movies in theaters.

6. We LOVE open captions - and we want to see more theaters show more movies with open captions.

7. We want you to join us! We believe that if we can help to make it easier to find open caption movie showtimes, then more folks will go to open caption screenings and therefore movie theaters will start showing more movies with open captions.
